Our 8" (200mm) LED lane control signal with a red X and a green arrow.
Lane control signals are designed to maintain efficient traffic flow. These signals are used to indicate toll booth lanes open or closed, direct vehicles out of closed lanes in tunnels, and manage traffic flow in changeable lanes.
These signals are available with an optional Yellow "X" phase for CAUTION to warn vehicles of "lane closing soon" or "lane closing ahead". This option can eliminate many complaints from citizens when a lane in which they have been waiting is suddenly closed.
The signal is available in an 8" or 12" round lens module in a waterproof polycarbonate housing. The signal displays a Red X , Yellow X (optional), and a Green Arrow. Yellow may be set for flash or no-flash. Power consumption is less than 12 watts with a life of greater than 100,000 hours.

For high visibility, a 16" square version is available. This heavy duty unit is designed to replace older halogen fiber optic units. Power consumption is less than 20 watts with a life greater than 100,000 hours continuous use. Operating costs are extremely low. Relamping, as in the quartz units, is not necessary. The aluminum housing is weatherproof and is powder coated black. Visor is included. Displays a red X, yellow X (optional) and a green arrow. Yellow may be set for flash or no-flash.
All signals are available in 120VAC as standard.
LED's are the ultrabright type and are rated for 100,000 hours of continuous operation at nominal current and at 25 deg. C. The operating temperature range is from -40 deg. C to 74 deg. C. The LED emission spectrum shall meet the present ITE chromaticity diagram according to the 1931 CIE standard. The viewing angle shall not be less than 30 deg.
Circuits are built using "chains" of LED's to avoid catastrophic failure of the signals. Power supplies are discrete for each color and are regulated over a wide voltage range for consistent light output.
